1. Why the ADSL LEDs do not light up?

l ADSL link is configured as "out of service".

l DSL ports were disabled (default: enable).

2. Does IPAM-1600s support digital PBX?

l No. Only analog PBX is supported.

3. Is it possible that 2 CPEs communicate with each other?

l Yes, ¡§set port filter¡¨ should be set as disable first.

4. What¡¦s the maximum transmission distance of IPAM-1600s?

l Up to 5 km at 26 AWG.

5. How to upgrade firmware?

l Firmware is upgradeable by tftp.

6. Is there any security mechanism that IPAM-1600s provides?

l VLAN-filtering for uplink is supported and Management IP is provided to filter the access of illegal IP.

7. What is the default PVC?

l Default VPI/VCI is 8/81.

8. I forgot my ID,IP or password .What should I do ?

l Please check the software version and model type, and then contact FAE through C-COM support.

IPAM-4800

1. Is IPAM-4800 featured with backward compatibility?

l Yes.IPAM-4800 is backward compatible with ADSL/ADSL2 so that it can detect your CPE automatically and then communication with the appropriate modulation mode.

2. Is it possible to extend uplink bandwidth of IPAM-4800?

l Yes, uplink 1 and uplink 2 could be aggregated to extend uplink bandwidth.

3. How to return to default factory setting?

l Use the command: reboot config default

4. Does IPAM-4800 support RFC-1483 Routing mode?

l No, RFC-1483 Routing mode is not supported currently.

5. Why can¡¦t I use uplink1 and MGNT port?

l According to default configuration, only uplink 1 be created. Please create them by yourself by CLI.

6. Why the parameters of ports could not be modified?

l For security concern, that port should be disabled first and then proceeded parameters modification.

7. How to monitor data traffic?

l You can install MRTG to monitor the traffic.

8. What is the default LED illuminated?

l At the very beginning of activating IPAM-4800, all LEDs were lit red. They¡¦ll change to yellow when training starts. Finally, they are green when ADSL line is established.

9. Why the LEDs do not light up?

10. How to set fixed rate through EMS?

l Configure ¡§Min TX Rates¡¨ in EMS.

11. How to create a new line profile from EMS?

l Click the ¡§DSL Name¡¨ drop down list, from which select the blank field, and then input a file name to create a new line profile.

12. How to configure system as fast mode?

l Enter CLI to set ¡§Interleave Delay(ms)¡¨ as 0. input the command as follows:

13. What to do if upgrading an incorrect firmware?

l Please contact FAE through C-COM support.

14. How to get the channel rate?

l Get channel rate by following CLI commands

interleave mode :

$ get adsl atur channel ifname dsli-xx

fast mode :

$ get adsl atuc channel ifname dslf-xx

$ get adsl atur channel ifname dslf-xx

15. Can't build link with TI chipset in low link rate(64k/128k)

l ATU-C (ADSL2+) vs. ATU-R (G.lite/T1.413)

Above configuration may observe incorrect standrad in MxU after connected.

You should check the ¡§GsActualStandard¡¨ by ¡§get adsl atuc physical ifname dsl-0¡¨.

l ATU-C (non ADSL2/ADSL2+) vs. ATU-R (any mode)

You may use Annex A profile instead of ADSL2/2+ profile for this connection.

16. How to change encapsulation mode to G.dmt or G.Lite manually?

l Using CLI, input commands as follows:
